General Update Process

  1. Check the Version Specific Update Notes below to see if there are any special instructions for upgrading to this version.
  2. Backup your ExpressionEngine database and files on your web server!
  3. Strongly recommended: Test the update process on a staging site first. If something goes wrong, you don’t want to be responsible for lost sales!
  4. Replace the system/expressionengine/third_party/store folder on your web server.
  5. Replace the themes/third_party/store folder on your web server.
  6. Visit the Store Dashboard to automatically run any update scripts.

Sometimes upgrading Store may require some changes to your template code. Please consult this document for any special instructions before performing updates.
